I am a beginner, but I really enjoy drawing portraits. Your step by step explanation of your process has really helped me to realize I need to slow down when trying to capture an accurate drawing and the importance of capturing the subject’s personality (as much as possible). I’m going to try drawing Ruben. There I’m going back to a portrait I’m doing of my husband. I take a lot of pictures of faces. I am pretty good at it. Is it acceptable to draw from a photograph? I am not ready to try a live subject. Thank you again.
