There is an exciting new competition at ArtistsNetwork.com! The “Best In Show” competition sponsored by Jerry’s Artarama, is open to all artists. For each entry, A portion of each entry will be donated to a nonprofit animal welfare organization, the Dumb Friends League. To help prepare for the competition, I’m working on a series of pet portraits. This third episode in the series will be a portrait of a parakeet! That’s great to hear! Nice work!
Very nice, Brenda!
Traveling has been getting in the way of my drawing… Sorry I missed a couple of sessions, but here’s my parakeet! I tried charcoal this time, although I have a serious love-hate relationship with it! Thank you, Scott! Wonderful subject, as always. Looking forward to the portrait next week.
I feel like I understand parakeets more after this drawing. It was fun!
Here is mine! The background is drawing too much attention, but the process of drawing was enjoyable! Thank you for selecting such an interesting subject!
Looks great!
Very nice! i love the quality of light.
Here’s mine… not sure my proportions are accurate, but it was good practice!
Thanks again for the classes. You’ve gotten a pencil back in my hand.
Hello. Here’s my drawing. I used white paper and still added a little white charcoal where I couldn’t erase back light enough.
Worked with ink for this one!
Thank you.
wanted to share my Macaw Drawing.
