Colorado stream. Loved working on this piece. Our daughter lives in colorado and loves hiking in the mountains.
My Slice of the Pie. Did this on from the video over the weekend. Almost had to go buy a apple pie and ice cream.
Thourghly enjoyed the Colorado landscapes
Thanks for a great episode!
Loving these sessions!
Great class!
Not sure where to post this. I struggled to get this portrait to look childlike. Thank you for the challenge. I used a proportional divider for scale

I decided to try it on my own first because I never seem to finish.
I did this one but it’s very yucky.
Hey Scott,
Here is my portrait in the time of the video. I have found your channel because I don’t really know that many artists anymore and I need help in order to improve. With the covid numbers up. I rarely leave my house. I have 2 kids and a husband who likes this one and really knows nothing about art.
I thought I’d add this one done last week
Hi Scott , I’ve been taking your classes for a while . This is my first post . I have trouble with lips and making face look like a young girl but I RE worked it and looking forward comments .

My Mountain Stream
Struggled with the values on this a little bit and my water doesn’t look like water but enjoying doing the landscapes I don’t think I ever really thought about doing landscapes in graphite.
Very nice!
I love doing landscapes. I really enjoyed this a lot. Getting the values just right is so important—not certain I captured the depth from foreground to back ground.
So true, Mary Lee! I’m glad you’re enjoying the use of graphite pencils.
This looks great! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing this! I love the mark-making here. Such variety!
Very nice! You’ve done a great job controlling your values here.
Thanks, Claude! This drawing looks wonderful. I’m glad to hear you’re finding these sessions helpful!
This looks great. I love the atmosphere!
I love drawing landscapes! It was very challenging, but awesome practice. Thank you so much, Scott!
Thank you for another wonderful session. After just two weeks, this is becoming my “must do” weekly artistic endeavour. Learning a lot from you in such a short time: the water is always a challenge and your explanation if the method to do it is rilliant. Thank you.
My effort from this afternoon in a moleskine Sketchbook
Hi Scott,
Here is the Mountain Stream drawing. I was not really happy with the values, and try to fix it at the end with the charcoal to have the darkest darks. Still not to happy with the results, but for now I consider it done.
Thanks Scott!

Enjoying learning how to use graphite pencils–seems like you can create a lot of variation with them.
