Belated Happy 100th Episode!

Wow, everyone did such great cake drawings! Mine is so-so…but here it is . I struggled with the perspective. I didn’t spend as much time as I usually do, so the tablecloth suffered a bit too. I think it’s so cool that I was here for episode 1, and 100! Wish I could say I did all this n between, but I have done a large number! Keep this wonderful series going Scott! Very grateful to you for doing this!!

This looks great, Urszula! I’ve noticed the same thing about my drawings. They always look a bit different in the photo. It looks like your camera is picking up a bit more of the texture.

10 x 13 Stonehenge; HB, 2B, and 6B charcoal; love the diagramed shapes and values – great opportunity to assess my drawing process.
Congratulations Scott on 100th episode. I was not part of the drawing community from the beginning, joined maybe half way through, but I am glad I discovered Artist Network! I hope the cake tasted as good as it looked!

I noticed, that my work always looks better in real life, than on the photo, which is a bit grainy. Did not figured yet what is the cause of the difference in appearance. Regards! Urszula

Thank you to Artist’s Network and Scott for this weekly challenge. I have missed many but if I am able to tune in, I always do! I still need to post my chair. Today I used colored pencil…. I’m not very experienced using them, but I love creating texture with them. Food is always fun to draw.
