Very good! I'm a beginner and Jerry is so thorough in explaining the various uses of everything needed to start my new beginnings in the learning about painting with acrylics and the use of colors.

For me this provided an excellent introduction to Acrylic painting.

I learned a lot and always needed this information but it has been tough to find basic skills on using acrylic, even in college classes. One thing though: nationality has nothing to do with skin color Iflesh tone unit). Better to say ethnicity or race or just "skin color" since there are white skinned African Americans and just all different shades of every ethnicity, even mixed ethnicities (like me:). I know what you meant so not a big deal, just a thought. Thanks for the great class and info!

I found his method of teaching very easy to understand.

I'm just starting to work with Acrylic painting and I found this to be a very informative video. It helps me to understand better the reason behind toning your canvas and how to go about doing it. I also learned a lot about the different brushes that I did not quite understand before.

So wonderful to see how colour works - I an a new painter and this information will be so helpful to make significant improvements - in my painting approach =- many thanks

wonderful summary for beginners or those of us who are self taught. covers everything from brushes and palette to colours. It is all about acrylic though some of the info crosses over to oil as well. enjoyed it and learned lots of little things.

I have taken many art classes in the past and never had such thorough and precise instruction which is broken down in simple steps. I am so happy I stumbled upon Jerry's painting videos. I have learned so much in the few I have seen so far and look forward to watching all of Jerry's videos. Thank you for sharing your many years of experience and techniques and doing it so well!

I purchased his landscape book for my kindle and was so impressed I looked for videos and found artists network. I love his snippet concept. It's so easy to focus on a particular topic. This is so much more than watching an artist paint a picture. I have never seen so many effects come out of a single brush. The best part is that so much of what he teaches translates to many different subjects and styles. You won't feel like you are just copying his work because you will have the confidence to apply the techniques in your own way. He also happens to be one of the most articulate teachers I have ever seen. If I had him as my art teacher in high school my life would have turned out completely different. But at least I have him now. I can't make up for lost time but I can use the time I have left to enjoy painting more. Thank you, Jerry!

Absolutely LOVED this video. I learned so much. Jerry is so easy to understand and follow. I've had other art classes and been frustrated by the way instructors gloss over details. Jerry is ALL ABOUT DETAIL. I love him. Thank you! My favorite so far.

This was an amazing segment. Being a true beginner Jerry Yarnell took me through the basic steps of almost every question I had. I will be watching is over and over again until I am totally familiar with the process I need. Thank you Mr. Yarnell for telling this in a layman language.
